First Time Off Base
Today was my first day off in 18 days, so four of us went out to the town to look around. We quickly found out how it is to not understand anybody or know where we were. We took a cab to eat sushi but that place was closed and we could not read what time they opened. So we started walking and found a little steak diner type place. I ate the Yakisoba which is pork, noodles and stir fried veggies. It was only 500 yen which is about $5, and it is rude to tip, so it was pretty cheap. From there we got the waitress to call us a cab to go near gate two where all of the concession malls and bars are. We walked around for about 3 hours looking at everything. The translation to English is very funny, I have a few pictures of the signs and messed up English wording. Right now my chief is about to cook us some steaks.
As far as work goes, I have been driving a bus. It is a standard and has air brakes, so I have to drive on the wrong side of the road and shift gears with my left hand. I should be done bus driving next week and back to my shop just in time to goto Australia, which I hope goes. Other then that everybody has been working hard because of North Korea. Peyton is doing great, and so is little gage. We had a scare recently with our little Westie, Weezy. He ate something he wasn't suppose to and had to goto the vet and was very close to dieing but he is doing great now. And here is a grass ninja
