Recently we have been doing a lot of high visability missions and a few of the things we are in on are in the headlines. The way things work here are crazy. One day they say I am going to Australia, the next it could be canceled, then its we are losing our perdium to $3.50 in Australia, then that goes to $50. All of this is based on other countries actions and what the Generals and the President want. Last night at the meeting for Australia turns out that is canceled and now I am going to Thailand, I hope heh. Looking at the hotel on the internet its going to be fun.
On another good note, most in the military do not know but when you get promoted in the Navy you get paid for the promotion later, depending on how well you did, could be one month, 6 months or 9 months after you get promoted. Well I just found out I start getting paid next month putting me in that first group and I am very happy.
So far I have gotten two days off this first month, back to work 12 hours a day...really hope Thailand goes.
