It's been far to long since an entry so I though I would take a break from cleaning and catch up!..
Well we weren't able to volunteer for Thanksgiving, but not because we didn't try! Which was okay with us.. instead we went and had dinner at the Loflins with them along with several others. We had a good time, ate good food, had a few drinks and played battle of the sexes! ..The food was great....a bit different then what we are used to having at my Meme's but still great! So many many thanks to those lovely Loflins!!
..On another note my best friend Lindsey from back home had her little precious baby girl Kamryn Elizabeth this past week. I'm so thankful that they are both home and doing fabulous after such a long ordeal of labor...Of course I've only seen pictures but she is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to get to Longview and hold her!!! And of course just getting back to East Texas period. My goodness it feels like Ted and I have been counting down downs for freaking ever! But Tuesday is almost here!!! WOO HOO!!!... It should be an interesting 12 or so hours in the car this trip now that we have 2 dogs...but they are both wonderful and looooove to be in the car so it shouldn't be to bad!.. Oh my we are SOOOO ready to see all of our family...Ted's grandmother from Ohio whom I have never met may even make a trip! It will be great getting to spend time with Matt and Ashley since that pretty much never happens!
..A few of Ted's friends got deployed recently to different places and lets just say...I'm NOT looking forward to all of that. Not one single bit...However we are both looking forward to getting out of these apartments and into a house hopefully when he gets back... We have learned we have pycho(sp?) neighbors. The cops were outside till 4 this morning..Crazy stuff. It's so different being close to such a big city compared to back home. I don't really feel quiet as safe here. But oh well enough about all of that...
Ted and I are still in the process of making new friends here and finding different things to do. Thursday night was the CMO-11 Christmas party which there was over 400 people there so it was really nice. It may have been the best food I've ever had...The steak was AMAAAZING! We didn't win anything but our friend Young won twice and gave us one of his gifts, which was really nice of him! The night followed with drinking festivities at the Landing, then to the Ale House and then back here at our apartment where we all seemed to pass out. I had one to many drinks and swore to never drink again the next morning. Which I'm sure won't last past our trip to Texas, haha. ..
Well I guess that will do for now, I've got so much cleaning to get done before we leave her Tuesday! Sooo see YA'LL all soon! :)
..Oh and tomorrow is my wonderful mother-n-laws birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAY!!!! We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The votes are in...
The votes are in for our new President! While Obama wasn't my candidate of choice, I am however still proud. We witnessed a first for America! Kids will be reading about this day in their History books! Some of the comments I've been reading from people amaze me! I don't think that our country is comming to an end anytime soon. Wow-
But on a lighter note Ted, Mac and I are SO excited we get to spend Christmas in EAST TEXAS! Heaven on Earth I tell ya! haha. We should be there around December 16th and hopefully get to stay through the 30th. I can't wait to spend Christmas Eve at my Meme's and be surrounded by some of the most amazing people I know...my BIG ole family. It's probably my favorite day of the year. Although it's been 6 years going on 7 since my mom passed away, the holidays are always a little harder BUT being surrounded by so many people that I love and care about makes it a little easier. We will also get to spend some time with Ted's brother Matt, his wife Ashley and niece Kaidence who are comming down from Washington state. That never happens so we are super happy about that!! Mac is also VERY happy and excited to spend some time with his nana KAY, who he loves so much! :) I can't wait to see the boys (Weston and Kayden). Kim sends me videos and pictures all the time, they grow so FAST! Kayden looks like a little man now, that child is attached to my dad like white on rice. I love it!
This will be Ted and I's first Thanksgiving as a married couple and we are more then likely going to spend it serving food for the homeless :) . It's always good to give back right?
Well thats all for now, I promise to post pictures when I can get it to work!!!

Getting Started...
Well it's the first post! I have had an empty blog for awhile and thought I might as well jump on the bandwagon and get it going! Florida is treating us well. We are still enjoying exploring the city of Jacksonville, and the rest of the state. Recently we went to Tampa and spent the day at Busch Gardens along with our friend Sweeden. It was fun, first time I've been on roller coasters in a few years and have learned that a couple of them make me pretty nauseous, but I tuffed it out and road them all anyways... We also enjoyed the complimentary beer for awhile. Being in the military definitely has it's perks, we get into several amusement parks for FREE! This past weekend we enjoyed going on base and watching the annual Air Show. It was pretty amazing!! Loud, but amazing. It was my first time seeing the Blue Angels perform. And they can put on a show! There was also a truck that goes 300mph and shoots out fire, that's another first for me! We also enjoyed our Sunday at the Dog Park with our little man Mac.. He LOVES that place. We usually try to go on Saturdays from 4-6 for the "Yappy Hour", ha ha it's entertaining at the least! I will have pictures posted soon hopefully! Hope everyone has a fabulous day!
